“the best new filipino restaurant in oahu 🇵🇭

@minasahawaii has been known as one of the BEST pop-up shops at markets, but they recently just opened their new location in waipahu and it’s worth the drive

💜🍟 their ube churros and lechon fries are honestly 😙🤌🏻 so good words can’t even describe how much i love them

🐽 their smaller items like the pork belly sliders, longganisa bao buns and shanghai lumpia are also all so fire 🔥 you seriously can’t go wrong with anything you order 🍪 they even support some small businesses like @thatblondecookielady

🚗 the workers are super nice and helpful, and there’s plenty of shared parking”

“📍“Let’s Go Eat Minasa 🏃🏻‍♀️💜” From Minasa @minasahawaii

🎥 We finally drove down to Waipahu for these legendary Ube Churros 🥹💜! We also got the Lechon Fries, Fried Chicken with Calamansi Glaze, Longganisa Baos, Adobo wings, Shanghai Lumpia, and Pork Belly Sliders 🍔 Traffic honestly sucks but for these Ube Churros, I would gladly drive back for more 😭! Their Lechon Fries were fully loaded and massive! Definitely worth every penny 👌🏼! Those bacon bits and crispy lechon skins add the perfect savory crunch to each bite! They did a really good job balancing savory, sweet, and tangy flavors 🤤! Their Calamansi glaze is so delicious! I can see this pairing really well with seafood items too! The Longganisa baos is a new type of bao you need in your life. That nice smokiness just makes it so addicting! The Ube Churros are freshly made to order 😫! They were super crispy and didn’t taste like cardboard! It’s topped with Ube sauce and sugar — surprisingly not too sweet despite it looking like it could be very sweet! We can’t wait to be back for everything! Did you get to try these iconic Ube Churros yet? 🤙🏼💞”

“One of the highlights of my Hawaii trip is eating at @minasahawaii!! The dishes we tried were all so good and the portions are huge!! They have a lot more great dishes on their menu like steak and sisig!!👌🏼😋Definitely a must-try when you’re in Hawaii! It’s only 17 minutes from the Honolulu Airport so make sure to stop by here! Aloha! 🌺🙌🏽"

“I’ve heard so much about this place and FINALLY got the chance to go! I was not disappointed and when we left, were more than full. We damn well waddled out.

Lechon fries is a MUST! It’s like a lechon kewali on fries. You take a bite and don’t want to stop the lechon skin absolutely crisp and the meat so porky. Oh my heart! And not just because of the cholesterol.

The Calamansi fried chicken on the garlic rice felt homey and reminiscent of my childhood. The chicken skin shattered like a cracker and provided a wonderful crunch to the moist chicken. Garlic rice reminded me of breakfasts when my grandpa cooked it in my youth.

Ube churros were a beautiful way to end the corpulent gluttonous meal. You gotta go - get in your jeepney, hop on your karabao - just get there!
